Why is the Desert Bloc so anti-sex and anti-marriage?
The Anglo-Saxon clique created such a huge anti-sex attitude in ‘modern’ times.
It is rivalled on the French side by equally physical representation of sex?
This has created a curious situation.
On the Gutenberg.com site, the most downloaded book in the last 1 week, 1 month and the 1 year is the Kamasutra by Vatsyayana.

Modernism, Anti-Modernism and Postmodernism is a lot to take in. Not all modernism paintings are necessarily even about sex, but many are.
Take for example Picasso’s “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” This piece, on a very watered down description is about sex workers and their agency of their sexuality is prominent in their address of the male gaze. There are others about sexual difference and the viewer’s relation to them all.
I wouldn’t be so quick to jump on a conclusion.
